How to do Audience Targeting in Facebook Ads?
How to Target the Right Audience in Facebook Ads?
For a successful campaign on Facebook, you must define an audience and target the right users. The more narrow and targeted your audience is, the optimized your cost per click will be.
Types of Audience in Facebook Ads
In Facebook Ads, you can create three types of audiences:
-
Core Audience
-
Custom Audience
-
Lookalike Audience
1. Core Audience
-
Add locations: You can choose to show your ad in specific cities and countries where your target audience resides.
-
Demographics: Target the people based on their age, gender, education, languages, relationship status, life events, job titles, etc.
-
Interests and behaviours: Browse the interests and behaviours of people to define the audience that might be interested in your products, services, or content.
The interests include entertainment, family and relationships, fitness and wellness, food and drink, hobbies, shopping, technology, etc. Whereas, behaviours can be defined using digital activities, purchase behaviour, mobile device usage, travel, and more.
-
Connections: You can select whether to show ads to people who like your page, similar to people who like your page, people who use your app, etc.
2. Custom Audiences
You can also create a custom audience in Facebook Ads to target the users who have already shown interest in your website, app, or business.
A custom audience can include people who have visited your website, used your app, or contact lists.
3. Lookalike Audiences
This type of audience targeting Facebook helps you reach people similar to an audience you define.
For instance, you can create a lookalike audience of your contact lists based on common interests and traits and reach more people who might be interested in your business.
